Thanks for sharing your ownership journey with everyone ,you definitely put your money where your mouth is .ive watched horse racing for over forty years and really enjoy watching your uploads .i agree with you in that the race at Newbury will turn out to be very strong form lively citizen has already franked the form .i think max is gonna repay your faith in him very soon and Roger and Lilly are really fantastic .best of luck you deserve it
Thanks for the latest upload. Its great to see max fit and well. I like the optimism from yourself and Roger and agree that 2m4f on better ground should see another step forwards. maybe ride him up with the pace and I think he could travel all over the field in a class 3/4. I see he has dropped another 2lbs which will be enough to have him right there in his next race in my opinion. The money will be down from me if the conditions are right. Regarding some other comments about Lilly, i think she is ideal for Max. She had him in a great position last time and held onto him really well. She really keeps a horse settled.
Hi Paul , thanks for the comment. Max will probably benefit for running off a low weight in a better race. He is certainly coming to himself right now and sure he will come good. I still think next year it could be back over fences once we have his confidence sky high….Thanks again.
@onecarefulowner So likely back in a class 2 next time? that makes sense. I look forward to following your journey and wish you all the best with Kamaxos

Good to see him looking so well. Change of Jockey might be needed. Bad mistake Warwick and now on the floor at Newbury. Thing with Lilly, she just sits and lets horses do what they want. Saw her ride at Fakenham Sunday. NOTHING jumped for her
Tend to agree but this trainer is not NH minded. Atrocious record, average to good on flat and i suppose this jockey is available and willing for the yard. If you look at the horses record, best run on flat in France was on debut over1,5, appears somewhat regressive after that, trainer adjusting the distance thinking he didn’t fully get the 1,5. However I just think this horses running style is that he doesn’t really settle, as if you read the race reports whilst he won at 2,4 and 2, between these races he finds nothing after the last at 2 and similar story at 2,4. Bizarrely they are trying to find his ideal distance, i can understand that to some extent from his races. I have seen him live and he hurdles low and flat, doesn’t seem to arch his back much and this style whilst effective if the horse is jumping clean is a recipe for disaster if they miss one and invariably horses with this style miss one. They are all individuals and like people need someone who understands them. Thats the difficult thing and that separates the great trainers from the rest.
This may be of interest, which may well apply to Max. Dear Lir Speciale Owners, A disappointing effort from Lir Speciale, who had every chance but didn't really pick up in the straight. Stuart was very hopeful that he would come on for his comeback run, but he's in fact gone in the other direction. We will see if anything comes to light in the morning, but having bought Lir in the hope that he could win some nice races, that's starting to look a little unlikely now. RaceShare have had a great record for sourcing quality horses, but they aren't machines physically and can also sometimes develop a mind of their own that can interfere with their performance. Maybe Max does not want to race.
@@onecarefulownerran over 1,5 on flat and it appears to be his best flat effort. Usually that indicates they get 2,6 or 3 miles. I think he needs what the Irish call yielding ground, not convinced he wants heavy or dead ground . He is a conundrum, flat trainer couldn’t get it either. I personally would actually try a decent amateur on him or bite the bullet and book a decent jockey to get his opinion. Someone like Cobden would give you his opinion after riding him.

Certainly going back up in distance. Might go for a better race with a very low weight as he has good Class 2 form over 2m4f. A few options to consider. Unfortunately placing horses is not easy. You have a programme book to look through. Not as many races as you would think. Thank for watching.

NH trainers have a different perspective to flat trainers
Just looked through maxes form seems all his best form on right handed tracks
